About the JCDecaux Group

The JCDecaux Company was founded by Jean-Claude Decaux in 1964. The first items of modern street furniture were born of his idea to combine public service facilities and advertisements. Since then, continuous further development and numerous innovations have driven the company's activities ever forwards. Today, the company is managed by sons Jean-Francois Decaux and Jean-Charles Decaux. Gewista is integrated in the JCDecaux Group at an international level. The French outdoor advertising company holds a majority share in Gewista of 67 per cent through JCDecaux Holding.
