Tips & Tricks

Applying for a new job is often not that easy. We would like to give you tips & tricks so that you can prepare well and get the best out of your documents. The first impression counts!

How do I apply and what should my application include?

Under "Job postings" you will find all open positions.
If one of these jobs appeals to you, open it and apply directly via our online portal.

If you can't find an appealing job among the open positions, draw attention to yourself with a "speculative application".
You are also welcome to contact us for an internship by means of a speculative application. Please indicate the department for which you would like to submit a unsolicited application. You cannot imagine anything concrete under our department names? Then get to know our departments under the following link (Link).

If you are interested in an apprenticeship, you will find all the information you need under "Apprenticeship at Gewista".

In your letter of application or motivation, you should describe reasons why we as a company are interesting for you. What appealed to you about the advertised position and how does this job suit you?

Pay attention to spelling and formatting. It makes sense to have another person read through your documents. Four eyes see more than two.

What do I need to look for in my resume?

So that we can get a good picture of your experience and qualifications, arrange your resume so that the most recent is mentioned first! A chronological order makes it easier for our recruiting team to read. Furthermore, we would be pleased to read keywords about your tasks and areas of responsibility in your positions - this way we can be sure that our position fits you!

Pay attention to spelling and formatting on your resume.

To complete your resume, add an appropriate and professional photo!

How can I prepare for the first interview?

If your documents have convinced us, we will invite you for an interview - in person, by phone or by video.

In the first conversation we would like to:

  • gain a personal impression,
  • gain a better insight into your experiences
  • clarify mutual expectations and
  • discuss open points (team, activities, work model, salary expectations, etc.)

We recommend that you take time to learn about the company before the interview. Think about what we urgently need to know about you and what questions you might ask.

We realize that this interview is of great importance to you - nervousness is completely understandable and will not negatively affect your first impression. We look forward to meeting honest and confident candidates!

A well-groomed appearance puts the finishing touches on your appearance! You should feel comfortable in your outfit and still reach for a shirt or blouse instead of putting on a t-shirt!
