1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file which is stored in the browser on your device (computer, cell phone...).
We use the term "cookies" to refer to cookies, embeddings, trackers and similar technologies.
Cookies have several uses.  They make it possible to identify you so that you can access your account, manage your shopping cart, save your browser language or so that your navigation can be followed for statistical analysis or advertising purposes.

2. What are the different types of cookies?
Cookies can be classified as follows:

  •  According to their expiration time:
    • Session cookies, which are stored in the memory of your browser only as long as it is open. As soon as you close your browser, these cookies are deleted.
    • Permanent cookies, which have a pre-defined lifetime. These cookies remain in your browser until they expire or until you manually delete them by using your browser's control features.
  • By their source:
    • First-party cookies, which are deposited directly by the website or mobile app operator or on its behalf by service providers.
    • Third-party cookies, which are deposited by third-party companies with the consent of the website operator.
  • According to their purposes:
    • Functionally necessary cookies, which are strictly required for the proper functioning of the website or deposited to provide an online communication service expressly requested by you. These cookies may cover various purposes, such as recording the cookie settings you choose, authenticating to a service, storing a shopping cart, accounting for purchased products or services, customizing the user interface (e.g., language selection, presentation of a service), maintaining website security and similar functions.

Pardot Pixel
If you have given your consent, we use so-called "Pardot Pixel" of the provider Salesforce.com Germany GmbH, Erika-Mann-Str. 31, 80636 Munich ("Salesforce"). Pardot pixels enable us to collect information about the activities of users of our website. The data collection is pseudonymised, unless you provide further personal data such as your name when using the website. In this case, an allocation can take place.
You can deactivate the data processing within the scope of Pardot Pixels at any time in our Cookie Board. Alternatively, you can disable Pardot Pixel for the browser you are currently using by deactivating the storage of cookies in the settings of your browser.

  • The purpose of Pardot Pixels is to enable us to analyse user data on our website.
  • The data processed are:
    • Pardot Pixel HTTP Data: This is log data that is technically generated when the Pardot Pixel used on the Website is used via the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (Secure) (HTTP(S)): This includes IP address, type and version of your internet browser, operating system used, the page accessed, the page previously visited (referrer URL), date and time of access.
    • Pardot pixel terminal data: Data assigned to your terminal device by the Pardot pixel: This includes a unique ID for (re)recognising returning visitors.
    • Pardot Pixel Event Data: Data that Salesforce collects through the Pardot pixel associated with the unique visitor ID of the relevant visitor contained in the Pardot pixel endpoint data: This includes actions that take place on the website. These include, for example, conversions, link clicks, button clicks, page views. This also includes information associated with the actions recorded in each case. This includes, for example, the submission of contact details or download of documents.
    • Pardot pixel analytics data: Data that Salesforce generates based on the information captured by the Pardot Pixel by associating it with the unique visitor ID of the relevant visitor contained in the Pardot Pixel Endpoint Data: This includes information about the effectiveness of advertisements and mapping users to ad targeting groups. Salesforce may generate other data from the information collected for its own purposes or for the purposes of third parties. We have no knowledge of the details of the data generated by Salesforce.
    • Pardot Pixel Report Data: Data contained in aggregated segment and device-related reports generated by Salesforce based on the analysis of raw device-related data within the Pardot Pixel.
  •  The legal basis for the collection of data in the context of the use of Pardot Pixel is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DS-GVO (consent).
  • The data is automatically provided by the user's browser.
  • The recipient of the data collected via our website is Salesforce.com Germany GmbH as our processor. Salesforce.com Germany GmbH uses Salesforce.com Inc. in the USA (Salesforce Tower, 415 Mission Street, 3rd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA) as a service provider. In the USA, there is no level of data protection comparable to the requirements of the GDPR. It is possible that government agencies access personal data without us or you knowing about it. It is probably not possible to enforce your rights in the USA. We have entered into the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914; Module 2) with Salesforce to protect your data and have agreed additional safeguards. You can request a copy of the main contractual contents of the standard contractual clauses at any time. In addition, we have obtained your consent (Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a DS-GVO) via the cookie consent banner as a precautionary measure. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via the button on the cookie board. 
  • The data will be deleted after one month at the latest.
  • The provision of data is not required by law or contract or necessary for the conclusion of a contract. There is no obligation on the part of the data subject to provide the data. In the event that the data is not provided, we will not be able to use the function of the Pardot Pixel.
  •  We do not use automated decision-making.

When you view videos on our website, cookies are set in your browser by the video provider.
On our website, we use YouTube.

Google Ads (Conversion)
If you have given your consent, we will use Google Ads (Conversion) Tracking on our website. Google Ads (Conversion) enables us to monitor the success of ads placed via Google.
You can deactivate data processing by Google Ads (Conversion) at any time in our "Cookie Banner". Alternatively, you can install a browser plug-in from Google that prevents data collection by Google Ads (Conversion): http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
The purpose of data processing by Google Ads (Conversion) is to track the reach of ads placed via Google. When you click on our ad placed via Google, Google stores a cookie for conversion tracking on your terminal device. If you then visit our website linked in the ad and the cookie has not yet expired, we can recognise that you have clicked on the ad and have been redirected to our website. We can only recognise clicks on our own ads, not any clicks on ads of other Google customers. Google uses the cookies, among other things, to bill us for the costs of the ads. In doing so, we only receive the evaluations and other information in aggregated anonymised form and cannot assign the information to any natural person. 
The data processed are:
- Google Ads log data 
This is data that is technically generated when using the Google Ads tool used on the website via the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (Secure) (HTTP(S)): This includes IP address, type and version of your internet browser, operating system used, the page accessed, the page previously visited (referrer URL), date and time of access.
- Usage data 
Usage data includes clicks on ads, time spent on the website and information about websites visited.
- Conversion event
The conversion event summarises the results of the conversion.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data via our website by Google Ads (conversion) is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). 
The recipient of the data is Google Ireland Limited (Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland) within the scope of order processing. Google Ireland Limited uses Google LLC in the USA (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) as a service provider. In the USA, there is no level of data protection comparable to the requirements of the GDPR. It is possible that government agencies access personal data without us or you knowing about it. It is probably not possible to enforce your rights in the USA. We have entered into the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914; Module 2) with Google to protect your data and have agreed to additional safeguards. You can request a copy of the essential contractual contents of the standard contractual clauses at any time. The cookies lose their validity after 30 days, do not contain any personal data apart from the cookie ID and do not serve to identify you personally. 
The provision of the data is not required by law or contract or necessary for the conclusion of a contract. There is no obligation for you to provide the data. In the event that you do not provide the data, we will not be able to perform Google Ads tracking.

Functionally necessary cookies do not require your prior consent.
Please note that your choices regarding your consent or rejection of cookies are also managed by cookies stored by our Consent Management Platform, Didomi.

All other cookies require your prior consent.
These cookies will only be deposited if you explicitly accept this either globally or individually by clicking on the "consent" buttons. If you click on the "decline" buttons, on the link "continue without consent," or if you continue browsing without making a selection, these cookies will not be set.
