About us

The Gewista Group is one of Austria's largest media companies and the market leader in the out-of-home segment. With over 350 dedicated employees, Gewista continuously sets new standards in outdoor advertising. Our company is majority-owned by the global market leader JCDecaux.

In Austria, Gewista forms a strong unit in the out-of-home media sector with companies such as Infoscreen, Megaboard, Kulturformat, and regional partners USP in Upper Austria and Progress Werbung in Salzburg, Tyrol, and Vorarlberg.

Our business areas include both analog media such as posters, premium boards, city lights, and advertising spaces in, on, and around public transportation, as well as digital offers with digital city lights and premium screens. We rely on Outdoor Server Austria (OSA), the world's most accurate measurement for out-of-home media, to provide our customers with the best and most reliable database for their booking decisions.

Gewista firmly supports the sustainability goals of the JCDecaux Group, which are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Gewista's activities are always aimed at creating “the Gewista Etwas” and thus generating real added value for customers, employees, and our environment.

Public Value

We, the Gewista Group, assume our social responsibility. We design, install, and operate a range of free services for the benefit of cities and their residents, such as bus and tram shelters, passenger information systems (Infoscreen), and defibrillators, which are available 24/7. The guiding principle for our actions is the global ESG strategy of our parent company, JCDecaux.
