The Out of Home Award, given out annually by Gewista, for the most exceptional Out of Home creations in Austria, was conferred on 16th May, as part of the “Night of the Winner” in the Gösserhalle.
The Out of Home Award for outstanding, creative achievements in the Austrian advertising industry was given out for the eighteenth time. The celebratory award ceremony for the most creative themes in the categories of Placard, City Light, Rolling Board, Digital Media, Transport Media, Megaboard, Innovative & Ambient Media and Culture took place in the course of the “Night of the Winner”, for the first time in the new location of the Gösserhalle.
 
The guests were welcomed by Gewista CEO Franz Solta and Gewista CSO Andrea Groh, who also led the evening together. The prize winners and guests were spoilt with culinary delicacies that were accompanied by the cool turntable sounds of DJ Thomas.
 
The highlight of the evening, to which the winners, contracting clients and their agencies were invited, was the awarding of the Out of Home Awards 2017, with 8 categories in gold, silver and bronze. The most creative campaigns and themes were chosen in advance, from classic placard to transport media and digital media, by a high-calibre panel of experts.
 
Gewista CSO Andrea Groh on the judging of the themes and the successful awards ceremony: “Once again, this year, it was a joyful task to choose the winners of this year’s Out of Home Awards from the approximately 4,000 themes of the previous year. By conferring these awards, we are honouring the outstanding achievements that the Austrian advertising and creative industry produces, year after year, in the Out of Home field. This glamorous Gala Evening in the Gösserhalle offers the perfect opportunity to thank our clients for all their excellent collaboration!”
